Frozen water update
Friday, January 4th, 2008There is indeed frozen hydrogen oxide falling from the skies above Northern Ireland. The ‘light dusting’ forecast by the meteorologists has turned into something of a blizzard in these ‘ere parts.
At the moment the snow is just starting to let off. If my fingers defrost you might get some more snowy photos.
Below is some of the pictures from my Picasa Web album. Enjoy.

Tuesday, November 6th, 2007Photoblog: Partaharju, Finland
Sunday, September 9th, 2007Some calming pictures for your Sunday evening. These were taken during my recent trip to Finland. Partaharju and Lake Salvonen (see here) to be exact. We were staying at the headquarters of PTK the Finnish equivalent to the BB/GB. The Finnish countryside - and there’s lots of it - is a lot like Ireland. The only difference is where we would have cows and a few farm dwellings, they have forests.
Northern Ireland’s Big Picture
Thursday, September 6th, 2007If you’re ever on the BBC Northern Ireland News website something always worth a gander is Northern Ireland’s Big picture just after the main headlines…

This week it features the The Right Honourable The Lord Mayor of Belfast Jim Rodgers leap frogging(sp?) over someone dressed as a giant tomato, or maybe a strawberry. It was all in aid of this years Garden Gourmet food festival. Hungary bloggers can catch it in Botanic Gardens on the 15 and 16 of September.
Photoblog - Finland
Thursday, August 2nd, 2007Fast forward past the first few, I had just got a new camera at that stage. There are still more to come in the future. If you would like to see some of the locations I have mapped some of the pictures using Picasa Web.

Photoblog - White Rocks beach, Portrush
Monday, June 11th, 2007Some pictures from an early evening trip to White Rocks beach, just east of Portrush. As you can probably tell a Sony Ericsson K750i doesn’t really do the sunset justice.
Swimmers will be pleased to know that at the Environment and Heritage Services Beach Dose Rate Monitoring (in 2003) concluded that the beach had a 0.071 Gamma Dose Rate (uGy/hr) and the beaches sediment type is Sand.
This post also gives me a chance to try out Google Picasa Web’s new flash slideshow to go (currently only available in the American language version). Let me know how you get on.
