COM439C2 - Multimedia Practice

You are required to develop a single Web page for the subject of your choice. The page should be illustrated with an appropriate range of multimedia elements such as images, audio and video (if possible).

The page should contain a number of hyperlinks to further information about your subject…

My chosen subject was tourist locations in Northern Ireland, not on their popularity, but on how they would all fit onto a map of the province. Unfortunately the site had to be simple HTML, so no CSS or any of that sort of malarkey. Clicky.

University Timetable - Semester Two

Sunday, January 21st, 2007

You will first off notice the lack of white space, a vital part of any timetable in my opinion.

Exams over and now it’s time to get ready for next semester. Classes start on Monday 29th January, far too early in my opinion. I mean we have hardly recovered from our exams last fortnight. Although I only had the one, it was tough enough, there was lots of hard work in between watching The Wright Stuff, making cups of tea and messing about on the internet.

Holidays have officially started - Woo hoo!

Christmas Tee

Yep, it’s true, this is officially the first day of my Christmas holidays from University. Now what to do with them, I could start blogging more regularly, but that involves quite a lot of effort. If you get bored during the holidays why not pop over the The Bog Standard Blog, and help CyberScribe write a Carol.

If any of you techies have returned back to the homeland from Uni and such, why not check out the Touché Institute on Bebo for info on some nights out.

Web App Dev - Assignment 2

Got my result back for Coursework Assignment 2

Nice clear design to site. Very good and appropriate use of DHTML and JS. Everything present and correct, including validation (couldn’t get the Contact link to work, though, but this is a minor complaint). Good range of JS constructs and DHTML elements. Excellent report: well structured, good detail and very well presented. Overall an excellent effort. A.

Joelene wanted me to add she got a B+, which if you round up is also an A.
