Last night my old school, Kilrea Primary, celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their present building. To coincide with an open-night at the school, they also launched their new website www.kilreaps.org.uk.

The Sinn Féin minister responsible for Education, Caitríona Ruane, is set to make an appearance at the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church. She will be taking part in the Presbyterians to Talk Education event (Church House, Tuesday 5 June at 7.30pm.). The agenda will include education today, curriculum reform, governance changes and educational ethos.

I have been keeping track of MLAs in their first day of proper business. On the issue of equality for women in the house MLAs were undecided in how to tackle the issue. They are currently heading into the lobbies, for the first time, with a result due shortly.
