Ulster Folk and Transport Museum launch ‘Titanic’ website

Saturday, March 3rd, 2007

No, it didn’t just launch a really big website (bet you didn’t see that one coming?). The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum has launched what it calls one of the most wide-ranging website ever dedicated to the RMS Titanic and its history.

There is a huge (or ‘titanic’) collection of contemporary photographs and designers drawings from the real ship as well as newsreel footage. The website also incorporates sections about the construction, voyage and the aftermath of the iceberg. Some parts are still incomplete, but what’s there will keep you amused for a while

The Northern Ireland Tourist Board have identified the Titanic as one of the five projects which could have a significant impact on local and island-wide tourism.

Some parts are still incomplete, but what’s there will keep you amused for a while - www.titanicinbelfast.com is definitely one to bookmark.
